The concept of community is one that seems to redefine itself with each progressing generation. In Los Angeles, California, the meaning attempts to assimilate itself into our Angelino culture. For my urban plan, I propose a new re-imagining of the term. Through regulated movements, I have taken the 1467 West Sunset Boulevard site of Echo Park and densified it to depict my interpretation of what it means to belong among a commune. Each unit offers a range of living quarters that will satisfy the needs of various tenants. From the eager entrepreneur, to the loving couple, and down to the single young adult, all will find the best this region has to offer at El Chaparral.
